The Acoustic Sounds Cafe

What's that about?

The Acoustic Sounds Cafe is a project of the Outreach Ministry of Second Presbyterian Church. The goal of the project is to provide for the community a comfortable, attractive music venue where a variety of high quality acoustic music is performed for a listening audience. We hope that "every show is a benefit" to the community, to the performers, and in the end to local charities.

Pursuant to these goals, the Acoustic Sounds Cafe is a smoke-free, alcohol-free, listener-oriented, coffeehouse-style, affordable, acoustic music venue which presents shows routinely on the second and fourth Fridays of each month. It is a pleasant, friendly, "non-toxic" environment with a limited menu of light refreshments, including hot drinks, cold drinks, and simple desserts such as pie and cheesecake. Admission is normally $8.  Programs may include traditional, Celtic, and/or contemporary folk, pop, bluegrass, jazz, blues, or other styles of music which are appropriate for a listening, family audience.
